The approvals, in black and white

Anyone handing a wagon to someone else wants to know what the work is done to. So the three approvals are set out here as text rather than as a picture — readable, checkable and linked to the register entry.

What we are certified for

The approvals are issued by VPI Rail Service GmbH. Rail-tec KLG is listed there in the register of workshops.

Entry in the VPI register

  1. Technical assessment (FtB)

    Based on the VPI European Maintenance Guide

    VERS approval until 31.07.2030

  2. ECM certification

    Under Regulation (EU) 2019/779

    VERS approval until 18.08.2030

  3. Non-destructive testing (NDT)

    Under NDT-Railway / DB 90703

    Method VT

What that means for your wagon

  • Maintenance follows the VPI European Maintenance Guide
  • The requirements for an entity in charge of maintenance (ECM) are met
  • Inspections follow the applicable rules of the AVV
  • Non-destructive testing, method VT, is covered
  • The approvals can be checked in the VPI register
